Isaiah was trained** really early. I started him out at about 11 months, and he was pretty much finished by the time we moved to Kearney, when he was 18 months old. He used a Pull-Up at night until he was about 2 1/2. I know. Seven months is a long time to take to train a child, but, but, but, don't forget how much sooner I could stop buying those wretchedly expensive diapers. And Isaiah got to lose the crunchy diaper walk, making him ever so much more stealthy.
So, Miriam was 11 months old in January. And I thought, wait until summer to start. She'll be older, and, obviously (!!!) I'll have so much more time. But then summer came, and so did VBS and vacations and visits. Those V's can suck the life out of a person, and it's much easier to just change a diaper than coax to the toilet.
So. Today. I am starting the official potty training adventure. Diapers at night and for naps, and many, many accidents during the day. Can we get this done before school starts? Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed.
**If I remembered to take him to the bathroom at regular intervals, he stayed dry. For me, "trained" means "adios, day time diapers."
