We had sleep,
feigned sleep,
and just plain old lack of sleep.
We handled this all very well
all things considered.
We saw my brothers
and watched them sing with the St. John's University Boys Choir in their home chapel. (Roman Catholics sure do build churches.)
We played on the steps of Bethlehem Lutheran in Albion Twnp. where these children's great-greats once walked.
We found the fun at the Mall of America.
We got stuck in city traffic
which led Mad Madam Mim to self-destruct with a "pwetty dween mawkoh." She decorated both arms and legs, the soles of her feet, the palms of her hands and all fingers and toenails. She's thorough.
We had sun-speckled tag
and sparkly splashing.
Thank you, Grandpa Klein!
