1,095 Days Doesn't Satisfy

The sugar.

The play.


The vittles.

The birthday song.

The gifts.

The aftermath.

So, there are the promised party pictures. What follows is a snapshot of our today.

Me: Happy Birthday Isaiah! So, do you feel different?
Isaiah: Yeah, I'm older!! (pause) Can I have some gum? Because I'm older?

That's pretty much how the day went. "Can I drive the truck?" "Can I wear bigger shoes?" "Can I play outside all by myself?" "Can I drink coffee?"

So perhaps it was more disappointment than excitement for my 3-yr-old. However, we did end the day with a trip to the (very windy) park and cherry chip cupcakes. So all was not lost.
