I put Isaiah through an interview today. I share the results.
Me: What's the most important thing in life?
Isaiah: Um, God!
Me: What is love?
Isaiah: It means that Jesus loves you.
Me: Who is your hero?
Isaiah: Um, my cousins?
Me: Your cousins?
Isaiah: And Dad. And you!
Me: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Isaiah: Robin Hood. I want to be the fox Robin Hood, not the man Robin Hood.
Me: Like in the Disney cartoon?
Isaiah: Yes.
Me: What's your favorite color?
Isaiah: Blue. Because I always say that I like blue.
Me: What's your favorite food?
Isaiah: Pork.
Me: What makes you angry?
Isaiah: Like if a girl hits me. (pause) And my favorite cake is strawberry. It's kind of good. And my favorite pie is blueberry.
Me: What makes you happy?
Isaiah: That Jesus loves me.
Me: What's your favorite sport?
Isaiah: Football.
Me: What's Daddy's favorite sport?
Isaiah: Basketball.
Me: Why do you like football better than basketball?
Isaiah: Um, it's just because...I don't know.
Me: What's your favorite season?
Isaiah: I like beach.
Me: No, I mean like winter, spring, summer or fall.
Isaiah: I know. I like the beach.
Me: What's your favorite book?
Isaiah: Elmo.
Me: What? We don't have any Elmo books. What's your favorite book that we actually read?
Isaiah: Where the Wild Things Are. I just like Max because I don't like the roaring from the wild things.
Me: What is God like?
Isaiah: He likes us.
Me: Where does God live?
Isaiah: In Heaven.
Me: How do you get to Heaven?
Isaiah: With Jesus. (pause) When he comes back and makes a lot of noise he's going to open the graveyards and put our soul back in our body.
Me: If you could be any animal, what would you like to be?
Isaiah: A zebra because I like to be Zebras.
Me: Who is our president?
Isaiah: God is.
Me: Try again.
Isaiah: Lightning McQueen.
Me: Try again.
Isaiah: Um...
Me: President Barrack...
Isaiah: Obama.
Me: Is there anything else that you'd like to say?
Isaiah: I like it when my cousins come over to my house. And I like it when they watch movies with me. (pause) Mama, could I watch a moooovie?

Isaiah, we like you and your libertarian notions. Please come over and play football, stat.
ReplyDeleteAnother budding theologian! I especially like the part about the parousia! If you're not sure what I mean, just ask Isaiah. He'll explain it all to you.
